Anti-bullying week 11th- 17th November 2024

Posted on 12/11/2024

The children and young people referred to our mentoring and therapeutic service need to talk to an adult in confidence about their worries. Someone that they can open up to and talk about anything they want, no matter how big or small their worries are.
To have a significant trusted adult who is reliable, has a good listening, non-judgemental approach, is patient and empathic, is crucial when building rapport, confidence, self-esteem and emotional resilience.
School referred Kirsten to our service following trauma due to bullying and concerns of self-harm
For Kirsten to be able to speak to her Mentor when she feels overwhelmed is helping her feel calmer and more focused in her learning.
If you can help support a children/young person facing social and emotional difficulties like Kirsten by being a Mentor do contact us Tel: 01299 822336 email:  enquires@mentorink.org.uk www.mentorlink.org.uk
