World Mental Health Day

Posted on 16/10/2024

According to The Children’s Society, 1 in 6 children aged 5-16 are likely to have a mental health problem.

At Mentor Link we provide a long-term dedicated social/emotional and therapeutic mentoring support to vulnerable and distressed children and young people who are facing difficulties such as anxiety, mental health issues, low self-esteem, low confidence, relationship issues etc by providing them with a Mentor.

On this World Mental Health day, we would like to share with you some of the feed back from the children and young people we support, and the positive impact me make.

“I’m very grateful to my Mentor for helping and listening to me.”

“There’s nothing more I could ask for.”

“I like to have someone to talk to.”

“Having a Mentor helps me to express my emotions.”

“It’s a relief to always have the option to speak to my Mentor, it gives me peace of mind for when stuff may get difficult.”

If you would like more information about our service, or are interested in volunteering as a Mentor, please do get in touch with us enquiries@mentorlink.org.uk tel. 01299 822336 www.mentorlink.org.uk
